Summary: Kurt Hummel and Blaine Anderson are desperate to get out of of McKinley and out of Ohio. With only 1 more year left, they have their eyes set on New York. However, its been 3 years since they have spoken to each other. Both are carrying the weight of pressure and secrets but will one of the largest secrets cause them to finally talk or will it be the start of something much worse?
Why I love it: First off, thank you so much to the anon who recommended this fic to me in my askbox! I truly appreciate every rec I receive! This story is really quite intriguing. At first, there is just buckets of angst. I love angst, but this fic had me all teary from chapter one, and that doesn’t happen very often! Many chapters end with this big revelation (or cliffhanger), so I’m glad it’s already 15 chapters in to save me some grief! That being said, I really need the next chapter because I NEED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS! (As you can tell, I have a love/hate relationship with cliffhangers!). This story is really fantastic because it gives you all the little bits and pieces, and if you pay enough attention you can put the pieces together and figure out the mystery - or what happened to Kurt in junior year, in this instance. It’s making me more and more excited for the big reveal to Blaine and his family, because again, I love angst and I can’t wait for that big moment! Anyways, enough gushing about this fic, if you are looking for a really great angsty, heartbreaking fic, look no further, because this fic is all that and more! Yes, Blaine is one of favorite characters and Hanna is my favorite person and so I made Blaine want to study film because Hanna wants to study film. Kurt kinda is similar to me in a way but then again not at all. He hides things and he actually only has one person who he can tell stuff to, that being Blaine, and Hanna being for me. But I’m no way as damaged as Kurt is.
Well that would defeat the element of surprise now wouldn’t it?
